Plate Collection for October 18

Grounded in Unitarian Universalist values, Sanctuary Boston provides worship and community both in person for those living nearby and online for people in the Boston area and across the country. The organization also offers a program specifically for college and university students in the Boston area.

Our collection will support two social justice organizations with which Sanctuary Boston partners: BIJAN and the Pink Haven Coalition. BIJAN, Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network, raises funds for immigration bonds and legal representation to help free individuals from ICE

detention. Sanctuary Boston supports BIJAN by managing its monthly mailing.

The Pink Haven Coalition supports transgender individuals living in states where they face significant barriers or threats who relocate to the Boston area for safety and access to medical care. Sanctuary Boston supports this work through a mutual-aid fund for these new residents.
