In June, two earthquakes struck northern Venezuela, triggering a major humanitarian crisis across the country. The number of people killed exceeded 4,000 with 855 buildings destroyed and 18,000 people left without housing. Many are living in the streets, with relatives, or in government-run shelters, all while grieving the loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. The disaster intensified humanitarian needs in a country already in need of assistance due to years of economic collapse, food insecurity, and weakened public services. Catholic Relief Services partner Caritas Venezuela is on the ground providing emergency shelter, food, and care to families affected by the earthquake. Your donation helps them deliver emergency food kits, hygiene kits, safe water, medical kits, and emotional support. Learn more about this organization here.
