For many LGBTQ+ youth today—especially those who are non-binary or
transgender—the message they too often hear in the news is one of exclusion, even erasure. Implicitly or explicitly, they are told that they do not belong.
That is why increasing numbers of young people are turning to OUT MetroWest’s free programs: to find affirming role models, safe and supportive spaces, and a community where they can truly be themselves.
The youth deeply appreciate the snacks we collect, as we did last month, but we all know that sustaining and expanding a nonprofit that now serves hundreds of LGBTQ+ young people—from kindergarten through age 29—requires far more than munchies. Please give generously to this remarkable organization, which began right here at UU Wellesley Hills.
