Sunday, November 20th, is Transgender Day of Remembrance, a time to recognize and memorialize those transgender individuals who have lost their lives in acts of violence. Founded in 1999 to honor the death of a Massachusetts woman, the day has particular meaning in these times, as a barrage of anti-trans legislations is enacted across this country, especially harming trans and non-binary youth. Our LGBTQ+ Task Force will continue to remind the congregation of these Days of Observance to educate all of us about the present needs and concerns of the LGBTQ+ community.
